What is a Ribbon Cutting?
A Ribbon Cutting is a ceremonial event co-hosted for you by the Chamber, typically at your place of business, to celebrate your business and its milestones. They often symbolize a new beginning, fresh start, and/or physically mark you as “open for business” within the community. It's an opportunity to connect with the community, gain visibility, and commemorate your initial grand opening, relocation, expansion, anniversary, or other special occasion.
How to Schedule a Ribbon Cutting with the Chamber?

Complete the Ribbon Cutting Request Form below with your business information and preferred event date. We recommend submitting your request at least a month in advance to allow time for planning and promotion.

Your Chamber Membership Manager, Chelsea, or your Chamber Board President, Destiny, will contact you via email or by phone to confirm your request, discuss event details, and finalize the date, time, and location within a week.

Once your ribbon cutting is scheduled, we'll create a flyer with our details and help spread the word through our website, social media, member communications, and community outreach to encourage attendance.

Invite your customers, friends, family, staff, and business partners to join you. If you'd like, you can also provide refreshments, giveaways, or tours to make the event even more memorable.

On the day of your ribbon cutting, the Chamber will provide the ceremonial ribbon and oversized scissors, welcome attendees, and help host the ceremony. We'll take photos, celebrate your milestone, and help share your success with the community.

Our Chamber team will help coordinate and co-host your ribbon cutting, providing the ceremonial ribbon, oversized scissors, and guidance throughout the event.
𓆉 Promotion & Visibility
Your ribbon cutting will come with a Chamber-made flyer and will be promoted through the Chamber's email list, social media channels, and other marketing efforts to help spread the word.
𓆉 Chamber Connections
We'll invite Chamber members, community leaders, and local supporters to attend, creating opportunities to build relationships and expand your network.
𓆉 Professional Photos
Hersey Photography will be there to capture photos of your ribbon cutting so you can celebrate the occasion and share the milestone with your customers and the community afterward.
